Background
I received my B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Utah in 2002. I then received an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Arizona in 2004. I spent 6 years at the University of Oregon working in the area of High Performance Computing (HPC), specifically parallel performance tool instrumentation, measurement and analysis. Since 2010, I have been working at the University of Utah primarily on cardiac MRI image processing and shape analysis in the context of atrial fibrillation and other heart arrhythmias.
Current Responsibilities
I am currently involved in performing software development for the analysis of image and ablation data in the world wide, multi-center DECAAF 2 trial (https://www.decaaf.org/).
I am also a significant contributor to the ShapeWorks project (http://shapeworks.sci.utah.edu) and an involved in the development of 3D/4D cardiac shape models.
Research Interests
My research interests revolve primarily around medical image processing and shape analysis. This work comprises segmentation, registration, statistics and visualization.
