heister bidoneThe SCI Institute is pleased to announce the addition of two new faculty members.

Timo Heister joins us as an assistant professor of mathematics. Timo is an applied mathematician and a computational scientist. His research centers around numerical analysis and the numerical solution of partial differential equations using the finite element method, which are used as mathematical models throughout the natural and biomedical sciences and engineering.

Tamara Bidone joins us as assistant professor of biomedical engineering. Dr. Bidone develops computational frameworks that help cell biologists and biophysicists understanding what molecular mechanisms underlie complex, emergent properties of cells, such as migration, division and stiffness sensing.
