Anna Busatto UURUN19Anna Busatto has been named a recipient of the 2022 Pac-12 Postgraduate Scholarship.

The scholarship is worth $9,000 and annually recognizes up to two student-athletes from each Pac-12 school. Established in 1999, the award honors and financially assists some of the Conference's most outstanding athletes and scholars as they continue their educations and prepare for careers in their chosen industries. Across the Pac-12, scholarship recipients maintained a minimum 3.0 grade-point average and demonstrated a commitment to education, campus and community involvement, and leadership.

Busatto, who is a distance runner, competed in the Pac-12 Championships and NCAA Championships for Utah in 2019 during the cross country season. The Treviso, Italy, native also competed in the 2020 MPSF Indoor Championships and the Pac-12 Outdoor Track & Field Championships in 2021. Busatto still checks in at No. 8 all-time in the outdoor 3000m race (10:11.32) that she set her senior year. A four-time Pac-12 academic honor roll recipient and two-time MPSF All-Academic honoree, Busatto graduated from the U. with a Bachelor's in biomedical engineering with a minor in chemistry. Anna is currently pursuing a PhD is biomedical engineering.

Criteria to be selected for the Pac-12 Postgraduate Scholarship includes:
  • Maintaining an overall undergraduate minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 (based on a 4.00 scale);
  • Earned acceptance to or already be enrolled as a full-time student in a graduate or professional program at an accredited institution, or in a postgraduate program for which an undergraduate degree is required for admission;
  • Performed with distinction as a member of a varsity team; and
  • Exemplified behavior, both in competition and beyond, in a manner that has brought credit to the student-athlete, the institution, and intercollegiate athletics.
